A lifelong passion for apparel.
At Palmetto Print House, apparel isn’t just a business to us—it’s a lifelong passion.
Our company was founded and is led by Scott MacHardy, a veteran of the American apparel industry with a deep-rooted history in creating iconic, culture-shaping apparel. Long before building Palmetto Print House, Scott co-founded Coed Sportswear, the mastermind brand behind the legendary "Coed Naked" T-shirts that dominated pop culture throughout the late 1980s and 1990s.
What started as a creative spark at Scott's alma mater, the University of New Hampshire, exploded into a nationwide phenomenon. At its absolute peak, Coed Sportswear grew into a powerhouse enterprise, generating over $23 million in annual revenue, distributing to over 10,000 independent retailers across the United States, and landing spots on Custom Ink’s historic rankings of the "Most Iconic Sayings T-shirts of All Time".
This rapid growth and sharp e-commerce acumen didn't go unnoticed. In 1995, Scott and his business partner received top mainstream recognition for their exceptional business drive, winning the prestigious National Young Entrepreneurs of the Year Award from the United States Small Business Administration. The honor even took them all the way to a formal White House Rose Garden ceremony with President Bill Clinton (where they naturally gifted the President his very own custom tee).
Bringing decades of expertise to every single print.
From scaling a multimillion-dollar national brand to running sister printing facilities like Printed Matter Inc., Scott has spent over three decades mastering the ins and outs of fabric sourcing, screen printing, and premium graphic transfers.
Palmetto Print House represents a return to those high-quality, hands-on roots. We don't believe in cutting corners. By combining decades of industry-leading commercial expertise with a dedicated focus on bespoke, vintage-inspired design, we ensure that every single garment leaving our shop is flawlessly pressed by hand, built to last, and made to be loved.
